Promoted by the Social Assistance Department of the Pedreira Church, in Belém, the meeting brought together members, visitors, and those interested in a Sunday morning full of learning.
With the purpose of encouraging healthy eating and expanding the culinary repertoire of the participants, the Social Assistance Department of the Pedreira Church held a vegetarian cooking course, under the direction of the departmental leader, Sister Milka Reis.
The program had the support of the cooks, Jamara Neves, Suely Amaral, Laena Ferreira, and Samara Melo, who shared recipes, techniques, and practical guidance for preparing tasty and nutritious vegetarian meals.
The course aimed to present alternatives that contribute to the diversification of the menu, especially helping those who are still adapting to a vegetarian diet, as well as offering new options to those who already follow this lifestyle.
During the program, the participants closely followed the demonstrations, interacted with the instructors, clarified doubts, and actively participated in the proposed activities.
More than teaching new recipes, the workshop reinforced the church's commitment to promoting the principles of integral health, encouraging choices that contribute to physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
